I had a silly idea to draw a picture of the worst online dating profile picture I could think of. The result was not so extreme, perhaps, but I'm pleased with the reaction of mild revulsion most people seem to experience when they see it.

Here's a word I discovered: rejectamenta: things or matter rejected as useless or worthless.
I like this word! So I made a book out of scraps and called it rejectamenta. A journal for bad ideas!

Making Good on Blog Titles.

I've been into bookbinding for a very long time, though I've been horrible at documenting my work. Recently for a friends birthday my girlfriend and I made a leather-bound book - my first ever - and I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

I haven't done any printing in ages, and lino has never been my favorite process, but I'm pretty satisfied with the results here.

Bird Women, reprise

A while back (years) I was into an idea of drawing women inspired by birds. I passed over a really obvious choice then, but have come back to it. Peacock!
