Grackle

I'm continuing my bird-inspired series with birds common to central Texas, so here I present a grackle. Like a mean shitty small crow. If a grackle was a person, I'm pretty sure this is the kind of person it would be.

Quick ideas

A while ago my roommate comissioned me to design a piece combining our two major fears: giant squids (mine) and Charlie Chaplin (his). This was a tricky piece for me to get through, but I managed, and I think it turned out pretty well.
This second piece is a person I saw at a drag show the other week. Apparently she's a local drag queen here in Austin. I was so interested in the look she put together, I just wanted to jot it down.

Old things made new

I finally got around to finishing up a couple older pieces. Here's Bad Luck Tony all colored up:

And a piece I started ages ago, but finally touched up and decided to put up here. I was really into spies at the time:

Books books books

I'm playing around with prototypes of books I could make a lot of and maybe sell, so here's one in a cigar tin!

I had a silly idea to draw a picture of the worst online dating profile picture I could think of. The result was not so extreme, perhaps, but I'm pleased with the reaction of mild revulsion most people seem to experience when they see it.

More books! More leather!

Here's a word I discovered: rejectamenta: things or matter rejected as useless or worthless.
I like this word! So I made a book out of scraps and called it rejectamenta. A journal for bad ideas!
